TNC Series Connectors

TNC series connectors are miniature, threaded weatherproof connectors with a constant 50 Ω impedance and a wide frequency range. These connectors provide a secure mating and much higher frequency performance than BNCs by using a threaded coupling nut. TNC Series are basically BNC connectors with threaded couplings and offer a number of significant advantages. For example, in vibration applications they do not suffer the RF noise issues generated by the rocking of the ear bayonet locking device of a BNC.

TNC connectors meet the demand for small, rugged weatherproof 50-ohm connectors suitable for critical applications and extreme environments. The versatility of these connectors, along with their proven-in-use reliability, has made them standard on the products of leading airframe, missile, radar and precision electronic equipment manufacturers. TNC connectors are specified over the frequency range DC-11GHz and have a 7/16 • 28 threaded coupling, a rigid fastening which insures low noise level, stability, and the ability to withstand shock and vibration. They are typically used on Antennas, Wireless Networks, Military, Broadband and other Industrial systems.
